The DFW-12 series cable compartments are outdoorly designed, fully sealed, and cabinet protection up to IP33. Cable dockings are made of stainless steel material, outer casings are made of 2 mm of high-quality stainless steel plates, and the contents of the boxes are separated from the ceilings of the cables into the mains chamber and cable silos.
The busbar compartment is a sealed chamber made from 2mm steel sheet. Cable-connector supports in its upper section carry bushings that secure the connectors, with 180mm phase spacing. In versions with surge arresters, each arrester is fitted at the rear of the cable connector. Short-circuit indicators and live-voltage indicators are also installed in this compartment. All live components are fully insulated with an external silicone-rubber covering. The cable compartment below provides the cable entry and exit route and contains cable clamps and earthing terminals.
